The short timeframe between receipt of recommendations and reporting date limited our ability to put recommendations in place. However, VMFA has trained 69 staff in workplace harassment and violence with more scheduled in the future; attended Fine Arts Risk Management program and underwent a facility safety assessment; updated emergency, crisis communication and child protection procedures to better address threats to an educational institution; and continued to modify the COOP plan based on annual crisis exercises.
